Antilux® 500 Achieves Food-Grade Approval

On May 5, 2017, the LANXESS business unit Rhein Chemie (RCH) announced that Antilux® 500 has achieved food grade approval and may be used in the production of articles determined for food contact.

Antilux® 500 complies with the following U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sections under CFR 21:

  • §172.886 Petroleum wax
  • §175.105 Adhesives
  • §175.300 Resineous and Polymeric Coatings
  • §175.320 Resineous and Polymeric Coatings for Film
  • §176.170 Components of paper and paperboard in contact with aqueous and
    fatty foods
  • §176.180 Components of paper and paperboard in contact with dry food
