In the fall of 2015, RDAbbott and Dow Corning introduced fully characterized LSR material models (data files) using a suite of chemorheology measurements for 14 grades across Dow Corning’s XIAMETER® Brand RBL 9200 and RBL 2004 LSR Series. With these new material data files, you can create:
- Detailed flow predictions under pseudo steady state conditions
- Cavity fill simulations that can predict time, pressure, shear-stress, and defect analysis
- Cure behavior simulations that can predict time to cure, sprue deformities, and scorch defect potential
This recently released video tutorial, prepared by Autodesk®, provides step-by-step instructions for downloading and using these material data files in their Moldflow® software.
